The Telekom Austria Group, listed on the Vienna Stock Exchange since November 2000, is the leading telecommunications provider in Central and Eastern Europe with roughly 22 million customers across its markets of operations.

The mobile communications segment comprises all activities in the mobile communications field.

The Telekom Austria Group provides switched voice telephony in the mobile communications segment as well as VAS such as voicemail, information- and entertainment services on the mobile portal Vodafone live!, m-commerce, mobile Internet access, mobile office solutions, telematics (a combination of location-based services, global-positioning system (GPS) localization and remote control), and the use of up to three mobile phones under the same number, SMS and multimedia messaging services (MMS and video telephony) for private and business customers.

The mobile communication segment is represented by A1 Telekom Austria in Austria, Mobiltel in Bulgaria, Vipnet in Croatia, Si.mobil in Slovenia, mobilkom liechtenstein, Velcom in Belarus, Vip mobile in Serbia and Vip operator in Macedonia.

The fixed net segment comprises voice telephony and the increasingly important business areas of data and IT solutions, Internet access, value-added and wholesale services.

The product portfolio of the Fixed Net segment comprises voice telephony, broadband, data, TV and attractive ICT services and solutions for both residential and business customers. In the wholesale business the Fixed Net segment provides technological infrastructure to other operators of fixed net, mobile communications and Internet services both in Austria and abroad.
Due to the company's position as the former monopolist, many of its business activities are still subject to regulation by the national regulatory authority, which also intervenes in pricing matters.
