Minsk is the node for hundreds of developers working for the IT company Itransition. The company is headquartered and incorporated in the US, it has offices in Estonia, the Netherlands, Russia and the UK. However, the swirling core, the development centre, is situated in Belarus. This is where, according to their own numbers, the company coordinates over 650 IT professionals, about 30 of them working for the mobile development team. Creating Apps has asked Itransition about their view on the situation of mobile development in the country, the job opportunities for new developers and future trends in app technologies.

The public transport application for Minsk (Belarus) we have reported about earlier, apparently was pretty fast after all for Dmitry Pogrebitsky. It gave him second place in the first Belarusian Android App Challenge and quite some publicity.
