Developers, get an HTC Surround for free at Creating Apps!

Are you interested in doing WP7 development? Do you need a testing device? We've got three HTC Surround you can borrow. If you successfully program two new apps and publish them in the Marketplace, you can even keep it!

WP7 is still a rather new mobile operating system, but it is backed by a desktop OS giant and several smart phone manufacturers including Nokia, HTC, Samsung, LG and others. Developer interest in the system is growing and so is the number of apps and the usage by customers.

Offer for developers

Creating Apps now has a special offer for developers who need a WP7 testing device:

• Borrow one of three HTC Surround sponsored by Microsoft Austria
• Keep it for eight weeks
• Keep it forever if you publish two new apps in the WP Marketplace

Depending on the quality and amount of the apps, we might even be able to provide you with other, newer devices later.



At the moment only Austrian registered Creating Apps member can participate. HTC Surround

The HTC Surround is a special smart phone, as it offers virtual surround sound and equalizer sound effects in the palm of your hand. The device runs Windows Phone 7.5 (Mango) and has a 3.8 inches touch screen, a 5 megapixel color camera, 448 RAM, 512 ROM and an internal storage of 16GB. It features a G-Sensor, a digital compass, a proximity sensor, an ambient light sensor as well as an internal GPS antenna.



What makes the device really special are the slide-out surround speakers and the kickstand to position it wherever you want, just right to enjoy your music and videos. The devices we give away come without SIM-lock and run a current Windows Phone release.
